Job Description

Candidate will be responsible for all disciplines within special access security to include; personnel security, physical security, technical, communications security, document control, visitor control, and classification management, utilizing the requirements set forth in ICDs/DoDMs 5105.21 and 5205.07 as well as other customer documents and guidance. Candidate will support the Program Manager and interface with the leadership team management and engineering staff in support of HQ AFSPC to organize, train and equip the mission.

  • Develop, update, administer implement and enforce security plans, instructions, policies, requirements and guidance pertaining to personnel and the facility

  • Work with government security personnel for approval and accreditation of facility, equipment and security documentation

  • Oversee vendors providing monitoring and alarm response of the facility and knowledge of all applicable requirements

  • Responsible for changing/maintaining safe combinations

  • Personnel security duties utilizing JPAS/DISS, to include; conducting access interviews, nominating personnel for access, adverse reporting and records maintenance

  • Prepare and maintain incoming visitor data, and access lists for meetings to include granting visitors access to classified materials

  • Issue/Program access control badges to the facility and oversight of meetings

  • Perform inspections/self-assessments in accordance with National, DOD, Air Force and Corporate policies

  • Provide Security Awareness Training to new individuals, Annual Awareness training to employees and all on-going briefings and training requirements to include: Insider Threat, Suspicious Contacts, Counterintelligence, Classification and Marking, Courier, Foreign Travel, OPSEC, COMSEC, Physical Security and specific training as directed by the DD254/contract/program

  • Act as Classified Material Control Officer, including; transmission, storage, accountability, end-of-day procedures, disposition, retention, and courier duties for program assets

  • Act as COMSEC Responsible Officer

  • Investigate security incidents/violations, oversee correct actions and prepare reports for internal and external coordination addressing investigation results, culpability, impact assessment and future mitigation as applicable.

  • Interface effectively with all levels of management and government customers; daily support to staff, sub-contractors, PM, DPM, and government customer as required.

Required Experience

  • Current (In Scope) TS//SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special access

  • BS Degree or equivalent experience and 10 years’ experience with AF Programs of similar size and complexity

  • Specific experience with facility certification/accreditation

  • Experience with JPAS, Classified Networks, COMSEC, ICDs, DCIDs/JSIG, AFIs and related DoD Manuals

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be a self-starter with initiative to work independently and interact with customer, work with limited direction and handle multiple projects on short timelines

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced multi-compartmented work environment

  • Capability to prepare reports and briefings, clearly articulate ideas and issues to upper level management and customer to achieve consensus of action

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
