AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Structural Engineer for immediate employment in one of our Front Range of Colorado offices. The incumbent can look forward to working on projects with the team. The incumbent will be exposed to a wide variety of project with the opportunity to advance.
The incumbent can look forward to projects including:
New building design and analysis for a variety of building types, including Federal, DOD, Commercial, and Retail
Design of water and waste-water pump stations, treatment plants, and drainage structures
Retaining wall design, noise wall design and metal building foundation design
Structural analysis and evaluation of existing structures
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide structural design and assistance regarding design, drawings, reports and specifications
Provide a wide range of professional structural engineering services and technical consultation for the delivery of safe, secure, and fully functional facilities
Apply accepted conventional design methods and solutions
Apply the latest design methodologies and theories to novel problem solving situations not readily resolved through accepted conventional methods
Contribute and affect the content, interpretation, or development of design policies concerning varied design and construction projects
Bachelor's Degree or higher from 4 year ABET accredited Engineering program with emphasis on structural engineering
Must understand general structural engineering mechanics and material properties to apply to engineering solutions
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer structural software for the position (examples include software such as SAP, Stadd, RAM.
Strong writing, verbal and graphic communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to effectively organize tasks and work independently with supervision
Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering
Proficient with Revit
Internship with applicable experience.
