Candidates will work with a multi-organization engineering team to design, implement, and test new space situational awareness capabilities. Candidate will lead a team of systems engineers in the development and maturation of system/sub-system design, formulate technical roadmaps, perform quick turn analysis of alternatives, and provide technical advice to the Chief Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer.
Candidates must be able to formulate and successfully complete diverse and technically challenging tasks related to the architecture and design of the JSpOC Mission System (JMS). The candidate will also lead customer engagement to include definition of operational/technical needs.
BS and 8 years related experience
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
The candidate must be a self-starter and possess broad system engineering expertise related to military C2 and /or space systems. Candidates must be able to collaborate with government employees and contractors; work in multi-disciplinary teams; plan and execute project schedules; and build trusted relationships.
The candidate must understand service oriented architecture design and be able to apply them to JMS design.
Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI level clearance
The candidate will be expected to lead customer engagement and must possessexcellent communication and written skills. Knowledge of astrodynamic andorbit determination concepts and systems preferred.
