Position Overview: Provide Watch Officer and Security Management support to the Missile Defense Agency Warfighter Strategic Integration (MDA/DDW).


  • Provide Assistant BMDS Watch Officer Support (ABWO) and Sensors Watch Officer support.

  • Daily track maintenance and development activities using the Weekly Activity Message (WAM). Ensure unscheduled events are submitted for approval and properly documented/reported through secure channels to maintain effective management of BMD assets, configuration control and maximum mission readiness.

  • Execute hands-on control of daily events through participation in numerous telephonic coordination conferences to define scope of work, assess mission impacts and either recommend approval or provide justification to defer actions to the BMDS Watch Officer (BWO).

  • Determine the appropriate reporting document for various situations and forward reports to ensure GM leadership is kept properly apprised of events.

  • Enter LOGREPs into the BMDS Operational Readiness Reporting System (BORRS) to properly document any system outages as well as Warfighter System Availability studies. On occasion the WO will also support data pulls from BORRS to help support system analysis.

  • Assist the Government with BMDS Operational Readiness Reporting (BORRS) report development

  • Provide new account set-up and administration support

  • Provide E-Tasker support and Prime Contractor oversight support

  • Provide support to BMDS Asset Management processes and functions

  • Maintain and manage organizational SharePoint site

Provide Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) management support

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 7 years related experience

  • Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance Requirements

  • Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency

Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System
