Vectrus Senior Capture Manager in Colorado Springs, Colorado

This position can be based in COlorado Springs, CO or near the Washington DC area.


Demonstratedsuccessful Sr. Capture Manager needed to support Vectrus’ strategic Facilities& Logistics Services (F&LS) pursuits.The successful candidate will develop capture plans, formulate winningcapture strategies, and obtain the resources necessary to prosecute captureplans. Leads development of internal teaming and capabilities gap analysis,competitive assessments, discriminators and key win themes, price to win, andoverall win strategy/Vectrus value proposition. Serves as the lead architectfor external teaming arrangements and team partner roles to includeidentifying, selecting, and recruiting teammates, subcontractors, andsuppliers.

The roleof Sr. Capture Manager is a recognized and seasoned leader who has a deepunderstanding of how to effectively develop and manage a team responsible forwinning new business programs throughout the complete lifecycle of captureactivity beginning with opportunity identification and ending with thesuccessful handover of new work to a Project Management Team.


·Establish andexecute a capture strategy, establishing partnerships, and shaping new businessopportunities to match with company capabilities and experience.

·Understandand lead cost and pricing strategies that drive successful captures.

·Lead prioritycaptures within the F&LS customer set using established, proven processesand procedures for identified captures.

·Coordinatenew business pursuits across a broad spectrum of operating elements within theorganization, thus the position requires strong coordination, relationshipbuilding, and integration skills to achieve proper synergies for effectiveprogram capture.

·Coordinatesclosely with the BD Executive for Facilities & Logistics Services, VP ofBD/Capture and other members of the BD and proposal teams to manage, identifyand pursue potential expansion and/or follow-on business within existing anddeveloping business areas.

·Provideleadership and management to develop responses including technical and priceproposal development and milestone reviews for proposals.

·Maintainproficiency with Vectrus business development processes and policies and ensureVectrus business areas and partners remain compliant.

·Work withother Vectrus organizations at the executive and subordinate level to identifygeneral capture support needs and establish resource pools for capture efforts(e.g., solution architects, contracts, subcontracts, HR, facilities, etc.).

·Review andevaluate RFP requirements to support Bid/No Bid decisions providing alternativeapproaches for how Vectrus can bid the work.

·Work withVectrus lines of business personnel to develop proposal content/solutions andstaffing mixes that lead to a compelling proposal.

Education/Certifications :

·Bachelor’sdegree in Business or Technical field or equivalent.

·Active Secretclearance preferred.

Experience :

·A minimum of10 years of progressively more responsible capture managementresponsibilities.

·Candidatemust possess full knowledge of the federal procurement process, as well as astrong, proven capability to apply process-driven capture approaches throughoutthe business capture lifecycle.

·Captureexperience in facilities and installation operations, maintenance and logistics(OM&L), integrated asset management (IAM) and base operating supportservices (BOSS) markets with the federal space (e.g., DoD, DoS, DHS) required.

·Thoroughunderstanding and experience capturing performance based service type contractsin both contingent and sustained environments in both the U.S. and abroad.

·Thoroughunderstanding of various contract vehicle types and government acquisitionstrategies under the FAR (e.g. single and multiple award ID/IQ type contractswith recurring and non-recurring work requirements that contain both fixed andcost reimbursable type cost elements).

Skills :

·Proven trackrecord in capturing or working on major programs, including working on industryproposal teams and serving on review teams.

·Performed asa Capture Manager or in a lead capture role on at least 3 winning procurementswith individual values in excess of $50M each (single award contracts or taskorders).

·Demonstratedoral and written communication skills with all levels of company and customermanagement.

·Analytical,presentation, and problem-solving skills.

·Demonstratedability to manage a complex task and team composed of personnel who are highlyeducated and skilled, yet not direct reports.

·Ability togain internal support and to operate independently without supervision.

·Ability toestablish working relationships with customers, other companies, technicalstaff, managers and peers.

·Demonstratedeffective and efficient use of capture and proposal resources (e.g., B&P, Consultants,SharePoint, etc..)

·Demonstratedexperience developing and presenting oral proposals.

·Demonstratedperformance conducting various proposal and gate reviews successfully.
