We are looking for a Sr. Technical Writer to join our team in Colorado Springs, Denver or Seattle.

What You'll Do
The Cherwell Documentation Team is a highly skilled group of technical writers who author in a Dita environment. We specialize in concurrent development, Agile methodologies, iterative updates, and user-focused documents written with a minimalist style. The key responsibilities of this job include:
Manage the documentation work for multiple scrum teams, and incorporate that work into product-wide release deliverables.
Gather and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts, customers, and customer advocates.
Ingest complex concepts and turn them into easy-to-understand procedures and overviews.
Develop "real-world" scenarios that string together procedures in an innovative and engaging way.
Create structured content; restructure legacy content; identify opportunities for reuse; define reuse strategy and help coordinate collaborative authoring.
Create infographics and capture screenshots.
Assist with documentation localization efforts.
Participate in peer and technical reviews of other writers’ work.
Help mentor and develop skills of junior team members.
What You Should Have
Excellent organizational, writing, and editing skills.
5+ years’ experience in producing user-level documentation for a complex commercial product (software and/or hardware).
Experience with Dita and XML authoring tools (XMetaL Author or Oxygen). Basic HTML and .css skills are also desirable.
Experience with single sourcing, help authoring, and software procedural writing.
Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
Proactive attention to detail/consistency (terminology, formatting, structure).
BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or Computer Science.
