Responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities within the area assigned to achieve established objectives. Coordinate work assignments and facilitate safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training accomplishment of assigned team.

·Ensure that new employees; both Core and Select are trained to proper work methods, based

on standard work posted in areas which includes: material replenishment and quality

requirements, and Takt time and MDI process boards.

·Make work assignments to employees in assigned area and monitor work hours (breaks,

lunches, start/stop times)

  • Assure riders are written and material is dispositioned and moved to MRB areas.
  • Escalate issues (safety, quality, takt) as they arise and keep fellow LT’s and WGM informed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area per established 5S standards.
  • Verify that TPMs are completed as scheduled.
  • Other assignments as directed by the Work Group Manager.
  • The Lead Technician isnotresponsible for discipline, authorizing overtime, approving expenditures, or changing methods/documentation.

·Be or become thoroughly familiar with lean methodologies employed at Trane-Pueblo.

·Must have demonstrated above average communication and/or relationship building skills.

·Must be or becomethoroughly familiar with activities in the area.

·Must be able and willing to flex work schedule or work overtime on a regular basis.

·Must be capable of performing production work within the area assigned.

·High School Diploma or GED
