Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified information, proprietary information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) as required. Studies, implements and enforces Department of Defense (DOD) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) security regulations. Prepares Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining security requirements and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping of records. Processes personnel and visitors for access to the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC). Works directly with the MDA customer and Program Management on all security matters, to include providing analysis and recommendations and then implements the recommendations. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security infractions and violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Performs security program annual self-inspections and works with government security manager to mitigate risks. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.


Basic Qualifications:

6 Years with Bachelors; or 4 Years with Masters; experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Working knowledge of ICD 705, ICD 704 and ICD 503.

Existing DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (SSBI within 5 years) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

TS/SCI clearance.

Bachelor's Degree.

Proven capability to function as a security analyst and interact with DOD customers

Experience in developing, coordinating, and implementing standard operating procedures

Experience in controlling and destroying classified items

Experience in conducting security audits

Professional Security Certification based on DOD 5200.01 or the NISPOM

Prior experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)

Understanding of project management principles

Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Security controls related to Access Control and Media Protection

Experience in Physical Security and Personnel Security

Experience with MDA and/or MDIOC security processes
