Description

Engineer will be responsible for maintenance of the Windows Active Directory infrastructure within the C2BMC Labs and Warfighters (CLAW) in support of the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES Program at Schriever AFB, CO. The System Engineer will ensure continuity in the day‐to‐day operation of the CLAW Windows Active Directory infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, Group Policy, Organizational Units, DDNS, DFS, etc).

The Directory Services Team Lead Engineer will be required to resolve Incidents and compose/implement all Change Requests related to new and existing Windows Active Directory implementations and its continuing maintenance (these activities often require coordination of efforts with other RBA Crews, work centers and personnel). Other storage engineering duties may be required.

Other primary duties will include daily/weekly system health (battle‐rhythm) checks on the SCCM and Windows Enterprise environment to ensure normal maintenance functions are performing properly, viewing and responding (as appropriate) to events reflected in the various management and server patch management tools, attending various meetings (crew/team, staff, change, configuration, etc.), participating in forward thinking activities and automating as much as feasible.

System audit log reviews as required. This position will focus on the administration of Microsoft SCCM including client installation, software distribution and the patching and remediation of servers. The Windows SCCM Engineer will be required to coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve Incidents related to systems and supporting infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency using patch management systems, preferably SCCM and BMCClient Management.

  • Experienceplanningandimplementingenterprisesystemsbackups

  • Proficiency in Remedysupport

  • Minimumofeight(8)yearsofprofessionalexperiencemaintaininganetwork/operational environment

  • Minimumoffive(5)years’experiencewithMicrosoftoperatingsystems

  • Experiencesupportingcontentmanagementsolutions(MSSharePoint,OpenTextContent ManagementServer)

  • Demonstrated experience migrating systems to new approved versions Experience creating and managing Group PolicyObjects

  • Demonstrated understanding of Active Directory infrastructure, design and interfacecapabilities with other MSproducts

  • Demonstrated understanding of name resolution (DNS,WINS)

  • CompTIA SecurityPLUS

  • MCSA(2008,2012)
